ESPN has signed a deal to bring its Blazers and Lions sports programming to ESPN2, a deal that includes a live telecast of the Blazers-Lions game from Saturday, Nov. 5 at 7:30 p.m.
PT (9:30 a.m.-12:30 midnight PT; 1:30-5:30pm ET; 6:30am-10:30a.m PT; and 11:30p-4:30 am ET).
The Blazers’ game will be on ESPN2 and will be streamed live at www.espn.com/live.
Blazers coach Terry Stotts will also host the game on ESPN, along with Lions coach Jim Mora, and the Blazers will air the game in its entirety on ESPN and ESPN2.
The live telecasts will be available on the ESPN2 app, as well as the ESPN website, and ESPN+ subscribers can access it via the ESPN app or on the app for Apple TV and Roku devices.
Stotts has been with the Blazers since 2011 and has a career record of 735-338 (.583) with a 1.89 goals-against average and .868 save percentage.
He has a 3.27 goals-per-game average in seven seasons with Portland.
Mora, who will coach the Lions this season after leading the Lions to the 2010 B.L.C.-Seattle Metro League title, was a standout player for the Blazers in 2010-11, and was named the team’s player of the year after leading them to the conference semifinals and a championship.
ESPN Sports Network has a strong lineup of local sports programming, including the NFL (Monday Night Football), NBA (Wednesday Night), and NHL (Thursday Night).
ESPN2 will be hosted by NBA writer Mike Sando and host and host of the “Mike & Mike” series, Keith Olbermann.
